We are seeking a motivated person to work with us this season, beginning early May until end of September/early October. Working on our farm is both challenging and very rewarding. While the work is physically demanding, if you are a person who enjoys experiencing the world, the weather, and feeling in tune with the rhythms of nature, then you will be a perfect fit here!

Main duties will include working in the garden - seeding, planting, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, washing and packing vegetables for our CSA program and farmer’s markets. Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather, be able to repeatedly lift 50+ lbs, and enjoy getting your hands dirty. Some work with our pigs such as helping to move pens, feeding, and loading pigs will also be included.

Position is 30-35 hours/week, $17/hour. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 AM start, though a 4 day work week is possible. Farm is in Whitemouth, so you must have your own transportation to the farm. You are also encouraged to eat as many veggies as you can all summer long, you may take a veggie box home each week, and are entitled to 10% off our pork products.

** Part-time work also possible - 1-3 days per week **

Experience with market gardening definitely an asset, though we will train the right person. Experience in a fast-paced work environment (such as a kitchen) is also a great benefit. Each day provides a multitude of varied tasks so there is little chance of ever becoming bored or tired of doing the same thing every day!

Our farm is also home to our family, including four young children who will be curious to get to know you over the course of the season, so a friendly demeanor is a must!
